ETQW 1.4 Patch is set to be released before christmas, there are some massive changes being made, which should improve gameplay all round, refined hitboxes, the way the mcp is repaired, changes to the anansi and tormentor just to name a few.

The reason there was no 1.3 patch is because that was for the Korean release of ETQW so we go straight to 1.4

All Jolt servers will be updated on the day of release!

The SDK-Beta has been released, but what is more important and anticipated for a long time now - a competition-mod, which enables a well balanced competitive play, is currently in development. The upcoming competitive-mod will be named ETQWPro so hopefully this will give the clan scene the incentive it needs to really get off the ground. There is still a lot of work to be done but fingers crossed it will not be too long before it is released,

Last Tuesday the latest patch for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars made its way into the public domain. Reception for the patch has been warm, featuring as it did full support for in-game Voice Communication, improved game balance, refinements to the squad system and user-interface along with better bots and hunders of other tweaks and fixes. If you've yet to grab the patch then you can find it here on the Jolt Download System.

Jolt's massive number of ETQW servers were updated on the day of release and with the patch now out work has begun on bringing you the Jolt ETQW League. To stay up to date with any progress on this feel free to join #etqw.jolt on Quakenet, the community channel for our servers.

Enjoyed the first 10 days of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars? Looking to rent your own place to battle the Strogg or GDF?

Jolt are now selling both Ranked and Unranked servers from as little as £18 per month for a ranked 16 player-server and barely £16 per month for an unranked server of a similar size.

Remember when making your decision that Ranked servers are quite strictly controlled in terms of settings so, if you're serious about your ET:QW gaming, renting a ranked server for public play an unranked one for private clan wars gives you the best of both worlds!

Getting your hands on ET:QW has now become even easier with the game being added to Valve's hugely popular STEAM distribution system. For under $50 US you can download the game direct to your PC, a price on a par with most online retailers without the need to wait for the UK's never-ending postal strikes to end before receiving your copy. For more details check out the official page on Steampowered.

In all it's glory Enemy Territory: Quake Wars has been unleashed on the UK today with the full game going on sale at all good retailers and some just average ones.

Jolt is running an in-depth review of the game which can be found here.

In addition to this a 22MB client patch has been released which is available from our ultra-fast file downloads service. This patch contains, amongst other stuff, the following:

# Fixed performance drop of soft particles on some graphics cards
# Removed XP award for destroying newly spawned vehicles (spawn camping)
# Improved bot control of the GDF Titan Tank
# Fixed dedicated LAN server administrators reverting to default group on map change
# Fixed players occasionally not being able to change the mission they are on
# Fixed image pure check (anti-cheating) erroneously failing for MegaTexture

This patch is also available in-game from the automatic updating process.

I'm proud to announce that Jolt.co.uk is an official ranked partner for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.

What this means is that not only can you purchase your own official ETQW ranked servers from Jolt, available here, but that Jolt is running a vast array of Public Ranked Servers that you can play on and then track your progress as you accumulate honours on the battlefield.

We're in the process of putting together an excellent admin team and working on enhancing our cheat-prevention to ensure that Jolt Ranked Servers offer you the optimum gaming experience as you assault the Strogg, or GDF if you prefer.
